With Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, we can create a future where every advancement in cancer care is an advancement for all. Support us in transforming this vision into a reality.
In North America, every year about 3.5 million kids under the age of 14, don’t participate in sports because of a physical disability, genetic disorders or other chronic health conditions.
So, why cannot there be a world without wheelchairs, and kid's with challenges also have tools to overcome them and participate in school sports with ease?
Medical Research in sports medicine and orthopedics has helped these children with cutting-edge long-term cures and treatments. Breakthroughs like Prosthetics and Bionics, artificial limbs, stem cell and CAR-T cell therapies are outcomes of these initiatives. The Research further democratizes these treatments by maximizing affordability and availability.
The Mission of UP is to generate awareness within our communities, about game changing research happening in the field of sports medicine and raise funds for researchers and doctors working on these hard to solve medical problems in hospitals and labs across North America.
UP is a network of high school students who are active in sports and passionate about science and research. UP enables opportunities for these volunteers to work with doctors and medical researchers in organizations like Seattle Children's, Fred Hutch Cancer Center, University of Washington's institute of sports medicine to learn more about the research , understand it impact and help raise funds for the research
Founded in 2021 by Rakshith Srinivasan, today UP has 10 full-time volunteers and hundreds of part-time volunteers. In the last three years, 2021/2022/23 these students have advocated for research in sports medicine in their local communities and cultivated 500+ grassroots donors. These donors have contributed to 8 research programs in Prosthetics, Bionics, Muscular dystrophy, Skeletal Dysplasia, Limb deformities, Bone cancer, Athlete mental health, and human-centered design.
UP volunteers have helped raise $100,000 for research through community donors, and have presented checks to researchers in Seattle Children’s Orthopedic Research Lab and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.
Rakshith Srinivasan founded Unlimited Potential in 2021. Through 1:1 discussions and his love for the mission, he builds an advisory of like-minded leaders to help the volunteers. The advisors mentor the volunteers with research selection, donor discussions, campaigns, and fundraisers, and introductions to researchers and doctors.

Overcoming Obstacles
Overcoming Obstacles details why we should be optimistic of a future world where athletic excellence and peak sports performance are a life choice you choose to make and not necessarily a gift you have to be born with!
